2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. – KJV
As soon as popularity edges out doctrine in your concept, then you have a hireling for a Pastor. I’m not saying we should intentionally be harsh, but a Pastor should be sound in the doctrine and preach the truth in love to the Church. In so doing both the Pastor and the Saint will be blessed.
