Stand

Paul in Ephesians declared that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Part of the battle is recognizing that you are in one. Also that victory is attainable. Know what enemy you are fighting and what weapon that must be used for victory. If Jesus intended for us to never engage in conflict why then use these metaphors when teaching us about living for God. We’re not to be vengeful but not to be pushovers either. Paul proclaims having done all to stand, STAND! Take on the entire armor of God. Why is this? Because we are in a battle, for the soul, your soul. This nation is currently in a battle for its moral soul. I have witness Apostolic Pentecostal people, some just young people, that cash their eternity in for the vanity and vexation of spirit of the immorality of the world. One reason I believe this occurs is that the world is pulling so hard at people from so many sources that some who are not rooted and grounded in the truth fail, and when they get plucked up they go deep into sin. Spiritual wickedness then has a Christian trophy that it can hold up and the more perverted and wicked the backslider becomes the more evil rejoices. Paul however admonished us to STAND! There is NOTHING WRONG with BIBLICAL RIGHTEOUS LIVING! The weaknesses of a few does not make for a legitimate reason for all to follow in failure. Take on the whole armour of God. Put into practice that which God has revealed through His Word. Being an Apostolic Christian is not about finding a place of no difficulties, it is a place in God that difficulties do not defeat us. All of the filth and darkness that is in the world is not as relevant to me as the beauty and light of Jesus Christ. Luke 21:28 says; “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” KJV

it over

Have you ever thought or said; if I could do it over? I am sure you have as all of us have. I must admit that I have discovered that this is not the real issue as much as trying to live with purpose and direction. In the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Jesus teaches us that when we pray, say; "Your Kingdom come Your will be done". The point of this is that to live for God daily, and to seek His will daily, we might possibly think we could have done better but we'll not regret to live in daily pursuit of the will of Jesus. Paul told us to forget those things that are behind and reach forth unto those things which are before. The thought I’d like to convey… Learn from your experiences and hone up your life skills for the future and ALWAYS seek God to direct your daily steps.

Prevailing Prayer

by R.P. Wahler
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. KJV
To prevail in prayer is to become effective in or to succeed in praying. Prevailing prayer is prayer that makes a difference. When we pray, we are to pray prayers that will make a difference in the situation about which we are praying.
Two words are used in the text that illustrates proper prayer. Effectual meaning focused. Effectual prayer is prayer that is focused on the solution. We do not pray the problem, but we pray in faith believing that God will solve the problem.
Jesus Christ is the answer, and praying the problem will not take the problem away. When we pray, we must keep our focus on Jesus and His ability to meet the need about which we are praying. The other word is “Fervent” meaning hot. Mediocrity in prayer will not get the job done. We must pray focused fervent prayers to God. Then we also must be “Prevailing” in prayer. This is to say; lasting in effect and focus. To prevail in prayer is to make prayer a priority. Placing emphasis on our prayer life will bring prayer to the forefront in our problem solving. Success in prayer is determined by where we place our priorities concerning prayer.

The Time Has Come.

The Time Has Come for Jesus Names Apostolics to proclaim this great Salvation to a world in trouble. God is going to have revival in His Church. We can sit by and watch as God moves or we can be the instruments that God uses as He does a great work in earth. When I ponder the wickedness in the earth today, I am made to realize that we are in a day like that of the days of Noah. "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5) Saint of God be not discouraged. This is the hour when His people shall shine. Isaiah wrote; "Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." - Isaiah 60:1

Psalm 19 - A Psalm of David

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God;And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,And its circuit to the other end;And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,Yea, than much fine gold;Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;Let them not have dominion over me.Then I shall be blameless,And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heartBe acceptable in Your sight,O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. - NKJV
